No where did it say "providing it is insured in its own right by the registered keeper" - or anything even coming close.
I was unsure myself, thats why I rang my insurers, did the answer I receive from them was made on assumption that: "it was insured in its own right" i wonder.

Exactly why I suggested that you give them a call to double check. For the sake of a phone call do you really want to risk 6 points and a fine?
Go for peace of mind and give them a call and IF the answer's the same be sure to get it in writing from them.
