Had it apart today and found a poor connection that then broke. While fixing that another wire broke off.
With the help of a test meter I've been able to reattach else where and the light is now working.
such thin wires, no wonder they snap

Glad you sorted it, same thing with headphones the wire is too thin and soon breaks, not copper, in any case enjoy the day.
