I for one never really see the point of comparing cars that were designed/produced 10+ years apart.

The Rovers are what they are - that is why some of us love them whilst most do not.

I would expect a modern 3 series, an A4, a C-class etc. to be more powerful, as comfortable and more of a drivers car than the 75. Yet I could not see myself in a BMW below a 5 series, an Audi or a Mercedes below an E-Class.

I am perfectly happy with my 75's as everyday cars. I would be perfectly happy with a Mondeo estate.

It's all about what sort of statement a person wants to make about himself to himself in life.
