Its dead easy Hogweed. Once you replace the fuel filter just turn the key the aux position so that you hear the under bonnet pump working. This will prime the system up and chase all the air out the system. The fuel with its pockets of air will just get pushed back to the fuel tank because the engines not running.
I'm not the brightest bulb in the pack when it comes to hands on work so if I can do it, rest assured you can as well.
