Sadly papers like the Daily Mail (and the even worse mail online) make good money spreading nastiness. Equally sadly that means there is clearly a large number amongst us who like that sort of trash.
The other side of this is how social media has become a large part of peoples lives and when that turns toxic it must be very difficult to escape vitriol aimed at you.
