Does he have a urinary tract infection? is he in kidney failure? or is it Septicemia? is it multiple organ failure? Questions they should be able to answer from his tests, instead of guessing that “it could be the catheter”. You might think about getting a second opinion or asking to see the consultant for the facts. Hopefully your dad will improve with the correct treatment.

Morning Phil, Yes he is in kidney failure, the last time he had tests done at the renal dept they said they were only working at 30% efficiency.
The plot thickens too! my sister called round late last night after coming home from the hospital and Dads dedicated nurse said his medication (which was changed a month ago by his doctor) was the incorrect strength, it's four times over the dose he should be on
This happened with Mam last year which put her in hospital for a fortnight
Got to sort that out with his Doctor later.
