Everybody will have a different opinion on this.
I have a lot of experience buying and selling to and from the motor trade.
If the mileage is accurate and the advisories on the last MOT are not too numerous and expensive then, in my view, you did not overpay for the car.
If I were you, I would complain, IN WRITING, to the dealer and inform him that you are getting the car inspected by a local expert. I would then take the car to Big Russ and get him to give it the once over.
Depending on the result I would then insist that the dealer pays for the repairs at Big Russ (which will be better and as good value than anything the dealer can sort) or get your money back.
