Yep had the same problem and it was a weeping HP fuel pipe connection.


Found it by mopping the spilt diesel up and then wrapping tissue paper round all the fuel lines. Ran the engine at idle and after a few minutes the weeping connection stained the tissue paper. Tightened the nut and all was well.


If your engine won't start then the leak must be pretty bad, and should show up if you cranked it over for a bit, unless the non starting is coincidental.
