Hi Gordon,
In your earlier thread you referred to a 2 speed fan (3 speed fans don't use a resistor as
Arctic says) so I'm helping you on that basis.
You don't need Toaf to check that a replacement resistor is working. Simply start the engine and press the windscreen demist button. If the fan doesn't run continuously then check your connections to the resistor. Note that the slow speed on a 2 speed resistor system is very loud and is often mistaken for high speed.
So please can you press the demist button and tell us what happens.
