So just to be sure, you need to run the Trip Screen Diagnostics to check the running temperature.

If the correct running temperature is confirmed, then the heater matrix may need a flush/descale. Simplest first step is to disconnect the heater supply hoses from the engine and back-flush the matrix by fitting a hosepipe to the outlet hose and giving it a blast through. Reconnect everything and check for improvement.
