may be the problem in understanding what I meant is my bad english... and my lack of technical knowledge. I've just tried to translate what I've been told by the workshop.
The car is located at the moment at one of the best mg rover specialists in germany. You may call them the "german Lates".
In deed there are three different coulored shells depending on tolerances of new shafts. But after regrinding the crankshaft other measures of the shells are necessary. We have learned that there is a company in the UK that fabricates such special shells but we couldn't find out who they are. That's the problem.
Our member has decided to pay only a special amount to take the car back on the road and the workshop is convinced that the above mentioned procedure is the only one to be possible.
