Ah, yes, The Ritz cafe on The Esplanade. Fondly remembered, mainly due to a very rainy Sunday morning, when we were cabined up in the Ritz passing time.
A few of us had bought cod from one of the boats.
A little bit of friendly banter got a little out of hand, and the next thing was the combatants were whacking each other with the cods. Quite a sight, fish are not the strongest weapons and soon break up, so we all got a portion of cod as the pieces flew all over the cafe.
Please, no comments, battered cod, flying fish etc, heard them all, honest.
