It was my first time changing the belts on the 75 so I just followed the Rover procedure. 47Nm is a lot of torque to get on the manual tensioner. I'll maybe loosen it off a bit next time I'm under the car. I'd have thought 35Nm would be plenty. However, it's squeek free, for now.

I have three cars running with the belt tightened to 40Nm long term with no problems.
Haven't changed any of them yet - it will be interesting to see if the ribs have multiple cracks in like the ones I took off.
