Right, so I am clearly a bit of a doofus. I have got a replacement lid and it has made chuff-all difference. I guess my problem is in the base, not the lid?
I don't know what the thing should look like! My lid looks like the image further up. My base looks like the attached.
Any ideas, anyone? Is there something missing from the bottom?
