It is with great sadness I read this, although expected I had hoped for the news that he had made it back home. We have lost a good and faithful friend and a smashing bloke all rolled into one. My sincerest condolences go to Lillian, the family and all his friends. I hope that you all can take some comfort knowing he is out of pain now. RIP Derek, you will be very sorely missed matey. I do hope that if Lillian feels up to it in the future, that she can still attend some meets, with a local club chauffeur. Although I am miles away in Devon, it would be lovely to see her again when I can get up that way. Lillian, all my love to you, stay strong. Hope to see you soon.
