How do you check the torque 4 times? The only way I know to do that would be to torque it then loosen and retorque. In which case you end up in the same place with the same torque - as determined by the torque wrench. Without the loosen step it's possible you'll either apply a bit more rotation on the bolts each time or no effect. (Based on using a standard mechanical torque wrench)
