Hi Andrew, to the best of my knowlege the motors are purley reactive.
IE:
They have a power supply and a negative at ign on. This sets the VIS in the correct position. When a second negative is added it causes the motor to travel across, as soon as the motor starts to travel it sends a signal to the ECU to tell it this. when the second neg is removed the motor then travels back to rest and the signal to the ECU is stopped.
Test box will / should give instant activation. If it does not, likely failure is on the cards
Maybe the T4 was busy doing other things at the time and this caused the delay?
