I checked all the pipework yesterday afternoon and used a dry cloth to wipe all the crud off the pipes. Obviously with t he battery out nothing was flowing through the pump or the pipework and all was perfectly dry. I tightened all the hose clips too. On restarting there was an immediate leak at the top of the pump which carried on leaking when maneuvering
down the drive. Diesel spots every few yards, so its no a small leak!
