The sill trims (running from the front of the front door to the rear of the rear door at the bottom) are chrome but then overpainted.
The body ones (from the front wing, across both doors, to the rear 3/4 panel) are also overpainted.
If your replacing the sill ones - dont bother stripping them (it'll work and look good), just get some new ones for £10 from a scrapyard.
