Morning, cloudy dull and cool here this morning. Had a terrible night, not long after going to bed both my son and I heard a bang, and then a hissing sound. He got up and went into the bat(room and shouted that a pipe had burst and was spraying water everywhere.I pulled the bath side off and found it was coming from the side of the push fit connector on the bath hot tap. Got the water turned off and luckily I had a spare connector in the cupboard, fitted it, slowly tuned the water on again and thankfully no leaks .Only problem now is the carpet on bottom 3 stairs is soaking, the ceiling is stained and the wallpaper is stained and ready to come off. Not worth claiming off the home insurance because any escape of water carries a mandatory £250 excess
The carpets. Can sort myself obviously, but not the paintwork and wallpaper.
