It is an obvious statement, and not just limited to coronaviruses either. CJD, TB outbreaks are all timebombs waiting to happen from bovine sources. Various gastro intestinal diseases (viral or not) from various sources, domesticated or not.
There will be a paper about situations such as this somewhere, with their relevance attached to or manipulated to an outbreak.

There are elements of truth/fact in a lot of
scientific predictions, it simply depends on their sources. A novel with plagiarised material from another novel written by an ostracised member of a cult is not a reliable source.
