I made the decision many years ago whilst still working, to take early retirement if I could afford to as I'd seen many colleagues work until 65, then pass away shortly after. So, 11 years ago now, I cashed my private pension and "retired" I'm 65 at the end of the month, but with an extra year before my State pension, ( Thanks government)
I'm enjoying life as it comes.
I will be annoyed if I pop my clogs next year though before I can get my pension
