Its not an emulator - why do you think it is?
Its a laptop based
diagnostic tool that does what Philip claims and this is more than an off the shelf generic obd tool.
You can buy tools with model specific capabilities such as the SP ACR4 that I have but not for the cost of Philip's tool and even the most costly will never offer the same functionality as a genuine T4.
He's not claiming its a T4 alternative nor wants to emulate everything a T4 can do. It a product of his own work and did not involve trying to hack other companies software or hardware, which makes it an all the more impressive a piece of work. (yes he did reverse engineer the ecu security to provide the greater functionality but that's no mean feat in itself but he's far from the first to do this or remapping would be impossible)
