drove my 75 1.8 t auto approx a mile ,it cut out and wouldnt restart.called rac,rac mechanic checked spark ,fine,listend on passengers side rear seat as i cranked engine.said pump was priming .disconnected pipe under bonnet asked me to crank engine again,told .e no fuel coming through,said it was either separated fuel filter or failled fuel pump,towed me home.next day i checked filterno problem,i then purchased new pump assembly and replaced it.still no fuel getting to engine, .HELP!
