did you replace the copper washer when swapping out? But I would be looking for other potential problems if the same exact issue occurred on replacement. I remember seeing an episode of Wheeler Dealers with a TD6 Range Rover (very similar to a CDTi) that had a damaged wire in the loom. It was diagnosed by checking for fuel spraying into a bottle (
a dangerous process if you dont know what you are doing). A T4 diagnostic I imagine will be more specific to the fault though.
There will be someone more knowledgeable along soon.
