Decided to disconnect the main plug behind the offside headlight today in order to see if i could stop my xennon flickering . success ..
it unplugged after a bit of a fight and a few grazed fingers , then i applied a very liberal dose of carb cleaner to the female plug , and worked it in and out several times. all good again. very pleased with that. ... the only downside was i dripped some cleaner onto my headlight lense .
needless to say it burned the accrylic and is deep into the plastic. No chance to polish that out. luckily it was between the two bulb positions so does not effect the beam patterns. next time it gets a cover up if im using that stuff again. i ran out of electrical contact spray , and forgot to buy some more. not sure if that would have done the same to the light lense , but i dont think i will try. ...
