Yesterday at the cat rescue.....
Spring has sprung and we have another young Mum who has just given birth to four kittens at the rescue.
Much as we love having kittens there it is such a shame that people are not having their cats spayed/neutered (especially when the rescue centres are nearly always over run with unwanted pets) Then when Mum gets pregnant, they end up abondened and unwanted. The boy cats that aren't neutered end up roaming far and wide looking for some action. They all too often end up getting lost or injured due to fighting with other Tom's
. Invariably these cats are not micro chipped either so getting them back to their owners can be difficult.
The PDSA, Cats Protection League and RSPCA all run schemes in local areas to get your cats/dogs spayed/neutered and chipped at low cost so this really shouldn't be still happening in this day and age.
All adult cats that come into the rescues care are done if not already.
Kittens obviously are not old enough at the time but the rescue makes provisions with the adoptors for this to be carried out when ready.
Anyhow.......Rant over and pictures coming

She has two ginger and two tuxedo kittens. Only took photos of two of them as when Mum went back into her pen the other two were busy suckling from her.
