Default Those "Err" and "PPP.P" codes.

Ah yes! My KV6 auto Highline occasionally showe the annoying “Err” warning.

May I mention, for the benefit of others, like me (still learning) that MG Rover acknowledged the error code problem in one of their bulletins.

This “Err” or “PPP.P” in the trip recorder segment of the earlier highline instrument packs is due to a software design fault – “occurs only intermittently”. If owners complained the IPK was replaced under warranty with a different IPK part number.

Worth noting Rover’s instruction that “before instrument pack can be replaced, the vehicle data requires to be downloaded with T4/Testbook and transferred to the new instrument pack. Failure to do this will result in the ZCS data being lost” “if the vehicle is only part way to the next service, re-setting the service interval counter may also prove difficult”.
