I've been working under the bonnet for seventeen years, but a new problem has just emerged. The unending gale force winds, which have persisted for months here in Whitby, mean that the open bonnet becomes a sail, and slams down with considerable force when least expected. It has just hit my head, and I am not amused! Are the hydraulic struts available, or is there some alternative means of holding the bonnet securely open?
Every other car I have owned has had a movable strut to hold the bonnet, which tucks into the slam panel when not in use.
Any suggestions?
