Hi Gareth,
The original spring steel hose clips are more difficult to remove and refit than worm drive 'Jubilee' clips but they have two advantages:
- The contact surface is completely smooth, eliminating damage to the hose.
- The force applied to the hose is fixed so you don't have to worry about under or over tightening.
My answer to your question is therefore yes, you
can re-use the original hose clips. I have loads on my engine.
