I swapped the metal key "blade" over yesterday into a new case I bought off flea-bay.
I did think about taking a few photo's of what I did to remove it, but thought that my method may have been a bit brutal.
I tried the boiling water method, several times, and came to the conclusion that my blade may have been glued in.
So, I have a multi-Dremel type tool. It's made by "Silver-hook" a poor mans version, but works pretty good!
I used this to chop the blade out of the old housing, but I was VERY carful to leave some of the plastic around the blade the same shape as the new housing.
I took my time, cut once measure thrice technique, and it slotted home in it's new home very snugly.
I then gave it a blob of Evo-stick just to make sure it wouldn't pop out!
