I had an uncle who had it bad, eventually he passed away. At the funeral I asked my cousin if he was OK, he replied that he was fine, he'd lost his father a long time ago.

It's terrible & sad to watch someone deteriorate with dementia, We went through it with dad last year before he died, I went over everyday to help out with my other brothers & sister, at times he wouldn't know who I was and was crying a lot & other days when I went round he'd say R'reet Ian lad, You never knew which reception you'd get. Horrible disease.
