I have never ever encountered any car, irrespective of make or model that when fitted with a SS exhaust, is quieter than a mild steel version.

Oh and before you say it, three of my four R40 have stainless exhausts fitted, and the fourth has an original system.

By a country mile the original system is the most pleasant of the lot, even if it is 14 years old.
