Despite that, I am busier now than when I worked full time. Retired folks used to tell me the same back in the day and that puzzled me. Now I know why they said that.
There again, I could spend all my "spare" time in front of the TV. Daytime TV is so much good viewing ... er.. No chance.

Ditto mate.
The satisfaction of getting something back to a good running state is the battle and relaxation method for me. Particularly when you know most would throw away or scrap.
I have heard plenty of ex colleagues tell me they are busier in retirement which is always good.
