As I said didn't have anything to do with 31s but started and moved one once when I was still a 2nd man. Came on duty for a shed turn to find a 31 parked on its own in of one of the loco stabling roads. The cantankerous old driver I was on with was determined he wasn't touching it as he wasn't trained on it. After a while I got sick of working around the 31 blocking the road, had a look around in the engine room and found the main battery switch, got it started and moved it out of the way.
