TC - is there a reason you didn't use wider 'Flexistrip' instead of two 1/4" strips?
I'm thinking of using this stuff (12mm wide, 2.5mm thick) -

eBay link - too wide perhaps (and/or too thin perhaps)?
I'm not sure whether you covered the PCB with the Flexistrip or cut round it - can't quite see from pic 18 'cos the backing paper is still on.
