I also have a Jaguar X-type. That has the exact same box. The Jag has the automatic on the right side of a "U" shaped gate, with the manual mode on the left of the U.
Oh, and guess what! No funny oil requirements for that box!
As a matter of interest, the changes in the Jaguar are faster, if I am not mistaken.
