Default Woe, woe, and thrice woe!

...with due credit to Frankie Howard and the 'Up Pompeii' script writers.

It has been a woeful day. This morning I cleaned what appeared to residual bird poo from the bonnet. It turned out to be debonded lacquer. From sight of certain cars of other makes, the disease appears to be progressive, perhaps even runaway. Is anyone else suffering from this malady?

Took the Rover in for the original master cylinder to be replaced with a new one, sourced eventually from X-Part. It didn't match, let alone fit and has different Lucas reference numbers on the casting.

The car was also due for its MoT, but the garage spotted moth holes in both sills round the rear jacking points. My local body specialist of choice says he is currently making bookings for two months ahead.

What next, I wonder.....and fear.
