I don't know enough about the TF to know if it has motion sensors, so this may be completely irrelevant.
My last Merc had the same problem, which the auto electrician couldn't sort and was baffled why it only went off at night.
Turned out (eventually) that a spider was crawling across the sensor at night and setting off the alarm. Quick squirt with insect killer and all sorted.
