I would fit a standard modulator for what it's worth, and remove TC from the coding, if the choice is between scrapping the car or being unable to source a replacement modulator.
I'm still at a loss as to why anyone would willingly want traction control on their car in any case, I have a right foot and a brain capable of receiving the necessary input from the car to control it
