The written word can easily be misunderstood but with your last sentence I don't think this is the case. The way I read your post I have come to think, I think your attitude is quite poor. You have been given advice on how to go about it. A few questions about insurance and MOT in case you had not thought about them. A challenge about the safety aspect of no airbag and a mention of what the government want to do.
Were our or perhaps my reply really that bad?
