I do like the idea of chains, but I've never needed them yet. My local Post Office is 1/2 a mile away, and the parcel depot is up a main (and well gritted and cleared) road, even in the worst of winters.

I do have a set of snow socks in the garage - the previous occupier left them here. Not checked them for size, though.
