It's not the end of the world. Mine was like that underneath what appeared good. It was limited to the area immediately around the jacking point and easily fixed with a bit of welding, grinding and repainting. Now solid again. The plating was done with thicker than original metal, so I don't have jacking pads any more, just use my own pad on a jack, on the reinforced section. (In my opinion, better than original).
