Brian I managed to get it sorted, almost by mistake. The car had been laying around and the battery got quite flat, when I jumped it with my wife's car all the indications fired up, with the proper voltage I guess. I've ordered a new battery, but if it's an intermittent fault, can I get a contact number from you just in case. Many thanks for your help and advice. Regards Allan V
