so from start to finish,
physical (as well as theoretical) assistance from a remote location, 18 days, with a red herring mixing it up, plus the added bonus of a confirmed working ECU and spare key too, is not too bad in my book (even better that is was with minimal costs). I reckon you could change my timing chain from your back yard in less time it takes to do a set of belts on a V6
