Best thing people can do with Facebook, Twitter etc. Is to just delete your account.
It is all horrible, and designed to engage you for ever. We have no idea of the long term effects of this stuff - it is much more revolutionary than, say a smartphone.
I don't see anything so wrong with obscure forums (like this). The big player platforms are on another level entirely.
