Just thought I would write a quick update.
Went down to my lock up yesterday. Did a bit more digging into the car. Tried my best to soak up some of the water out of the foot wells. Removed the back seat base, and found about 2-3 inches of water in the indents underneath.
I have decided after this that I need to pull out the whole interior and carpet. I think my target it to get Puddles ready for POL2020 is a little optimistic. I want to do this properly and right, so I am starting to compile a list of parts. I think the carpet is beyond saving, if I can find a reasonable interior I think I may just swap it over.
So my list so far is:
Interior carpet.
Boot Carpet.
Driver side kick panel.
I need to get the bits for the headgasket, however I am considering fitting an MG 6 N series instead, just to future proof her a bit.
Much work to come! Hopefully back on the road in 2020
