I had to replace both front callipers last year.
With one, I was returning home from Ayr travelling along the A77 at around 60 mph the car suddenly started vibrating. I actually thought I had a loose wheel and had a roundabout right ahead to negotiate.
The cars behind me must have wondered why I was driving so cautious and I pulled in just after to have a look.
I couldn't see anything obvious so continued the two miles home. When I got into the driveway the front wheel was smoking as the brake had almost burnt out. I have no sense of smell which doesn't help, all I knew was this vibration even driving slowly that last few miles.
My front disc still bears the scars as I've only done around 3k since so I hope it doesn't affect the MOT this week.
