Cheers Brian but with the Holland trip being on Thursday, I wouldn't be able to get it fitted on time.. it looks like a pig of a job, changing the regulator on the diesels alone is a faf.. I'm going to jump in the car with lotusLc for the Holland trip and I'll get a new alternator fitted once we get back. I'll lose out on the money spend on the eurotunnel but at least I can still attend.
