The old hose had the bleed screw plastic bit, which sticks out of the hole, damaged so it leaked a bit through past the screw. It's too early to tell if its ok like before everything was ok until the fan kicked in, then it was taking a long time to cool back down to 95 and the bottom hose was cold but yesterday after I replaced the hose I ran it to 100 then the fan dropped it to 95 but that was just after i bled it before I drove it

If it had a water leak then air could get in too.---

Air in the V6 cooling system could have given you all those problems you had. Now with the new hose water tight the problems have gone away.---
